EXCLUSIVE: SMAC Entertainment, the management and production company founded by Constance Schwartz-Morini and Michael Strahan, with an eye toward a major presence in entertainment and sports, has expanded its roster with the addition of star NFL wide receiver DK Metcalf.
SMAC will assist Metcalf in identifying new business ventures that will expand his brand presence, including entertainment production opportunities and future endorsements, licensing and partnerships. The firm’s work with the two-time Pro Bowl selection begins immediately and will be spearheaded by Jose Diaz, Derek Sanderson and Georgie Moskowitz.
Off the football field, Metcalf has seen success in track and field, tapping into his running skills to compete at the 2020 Olympic Trials, and on the basketball court, where he was named the MVP of the NBA All-Star Weekend Celebrity Game in 2023. He also put his creative mind to use to develop the coffee brand Decaf Metcalf after he was mistakenly called by that name during a broadcast.
Other notable clients of SMAC Entertainment include Common, Wiz Khalifa, Strahan, Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, Erin Andrews, Antonio Pierce, Diana Flores, Nikki and Brie Garcia, Tony Gonzalez and more. Recent productions include Max doc BS High, Season 2 of Coach Prime for Prime Video, and comedy The Underdoggs, produced by and starring Snoop Dogg, also for Prime Video.
The early signs point to Geno Smith being with the Seattle Seahawks in 2024, but the team could still make a move to add another quarterback. Seattle Sports’ Brock Huard believes the best fit for the Seahawks is former Michigan Wolverines quarterback J.J. McCarthy.
Fresh off leading Michigan to a championship and a solid NFL combine performance, McCarthy is projected to be gone by the time Seattle is on the clock at No. 16.
