Binotto reacts so surprise as Lewis Hamilton signing…

‘Did Binotto say that?’ – Sainz reacts to surprise Lewis Hamilton signing admission

One day, Carlos Sainz hinted that he would not have signed Lewis Hamilton if he was still the Ferrari boss, disclosing his actual feelings about Mattia Binotto.

Hamilton rejoins his old junior series manager at Ferrari, Fred Vasseur, who took over at Maranello in 2023 following the departure of former team principal Mattia Binotto.

Furthermore, Binotto has stated that Hamilton would not have received his Ferrari dream move if he were still in charge.

When Corriere della Sera asked Binotto if he would have signed Hamilton to Ferrari, he said, “No.” However, he made a great choice in going to Ferrari, and I support that.

Binotto gave an explanation for his thinking, stating that Hamilton’s future Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc, who has been a member of the team since 2019 and is a graduate of the Ferrari Driver Academy, ought to be their main contender for the F1 championship.

Ferrari had their sights set on other drivers, which is why. And if Leclerc is the talent, then in my opinion, he ought to be brought closer to the goal, asserted Binotto.

And Sainz was asked about his response to that when he was speaking at the 2024 Marca Sports Weekend.

“Lewis would not have been signed by Binotti,” Sainz answered.

Sainz collected his thoughts, hinting that this was not the moment to convey them.

He answered, “I don’t get involved in that. I’ll keep my thoughts to myself and I’ll share them with you over dinner someday.”
