Breaking News: After been suspended Nikola Jokić makes a controversial statement…

Nikola Jokic, the center for the Denver Nuggets, has been fined $25,000 by the NBA following his use of derogatory and offensive language in a postgame interview. The incident occurred after the Nuggets’ overtime triumph against the Chicago Bulls on October 31st. Jokic used an anti-gay slur when responding to reporters’ questions about Wendell Carter Jr., remarking, “no h—, he’s longer than you expect.”

The NBA’s decision to fine Jokic was announced from its headquarters in New York. Kiki VanDeWeghe, the league’s executive overseeing discipline matters, issued the fine on Wednesday. The NBA has consistently enforced policies against discriminatory language, aiming to uphold a culture of inclusivity and respect within the league and towards its fans.

Jokic’s comment has sparked discussion and debate within the basketball community and beyond, highlighting ongoing efforts to address and eliminate discriminatory language in professional sports.

The fine serves as a reminder of the NBA’s commitment to maintaining high standards of conduct among its players and ensuring that all individuals associated with the league are treated with dignity and fairness.

The past two seasons have been years of converting people into Nikola Jokic believers. So much so, that now even NBA Legends are starting to compare the Serbian big man to Hall of Fame players.

On an episode of KG Certified, Kevin Garnett actually compared Nikola Jokic’s dominance to Wilt Chamberlain – mentioning that Jokic was even more dominant.

“What he’s doin’ in our league, he’s ripping the records apart,” Garnett said. “They showed a stat where he’s had a triple-double on every team in the league. Right now, Joker is more dominant than Wilt Chamberlain. They got some ni***s takin’ him over Shaq. They got motherf***s takin’ Joker over Wilt or Shaq.”

Kevin Garnett’s statement isn’t an isolated one. Just this week, Chris “Mad Dog” Russo said that Jokc is already better than Shaquille O’Neal. However, even though Garnett may have said Jokic is more dominant than Wilt Chamberlain, he’s still not ready to put him above Shaq.

“Y’all are blow if y’all think I’m taking Joker over Shaq,” Garnett said.
I love Nikola, straight up. What he’s doing is unprecedented. It’s about this time now, in this time. What he’s doing is unbelievable… I get it, but Shaq wasn’t shooting threes. What Joker is doing to the game, it’s like bro.”

The craziest thing about Nikola Jokic is that he’s not even 30 years old. He’s nowhere near the peak of his career and has so much more to accomplish.
