Breaking News: Bru McCoy girlfriend breakup with him saying words of hatred against hi……more

NCAA Football: U.S. Army All-American Bowl

Wide receiver Bru McCoy’s time with the USC Trojans may be coming to an end, essentially before it even begins, as Inside Texas and Horns247 reported on Thursday afternoon that McCoy has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

A former five-star athlete out of Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, McCoy committed USC over the Texas Longhorns at the All-American Bowl earlier this month and subsequently enrolled in classes, but the rumor mill began churning this week indicating that the top-10 talent may be eyeing a transfer from the Trojans.

HornSports’ senior recruiting analyst Daniel Seahorn publicly noted the rumblings on Wednesday evening:

Earlier today we received a tip that McCoy was looking to finalize his intentions to enter the transfer portal. I wanted to dismiss it since it still seemed like a wild rumor, but after cross checking that (b)rumor in fact had legs. With things like this being sensitive and so incredibly fluid we didn’t want to hastily post something and get the board’s hopes up.

So where do things now? Well as things sit McCoy is still enrolled at USC, so there hasn’t been any movement just yet. Discussions were had today, but no official decision has been made.

On Thursday, the rumblings picked up steam from the USC side, including a report from the Rivals site covering the Trojans that coaches and teammates are working to keep McCoy from leaving:’

McCoy, who ranks as the No. 9 recruit in the 247 Composite rankings, was a highly sought-after edge rusher and wide receiver at Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei High.

Initially considered a toss-up prospect between the Longhorns and the Trojans, McCoy ultimately decided to stay close to home and signed with the Trojans during the fourth quarter of the All-American Bowl on Jan. 5. But with the recent departure of offensive coordinator and former Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who has since been named as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, and uncertainties surrounding the future of the program, McCoy is reportedly considering entering the transfer portal and has had discussions with the USC coaching staff about his intentions.

In fact, according to one report from the USC side, McCoy was set to commit to Texas before Kingsbury convinced him to side with the Trojans. Now the Mater Dei product is expected to arrive in Texas next week, according to that report, and seek a hardship waiver to become eligible immediately. Adam Maye reported this morning that McCoy is indeed considering a transfer to Texas.

If McCoy is indeed in the transfer portal, the Longhorns coaching staff will be able to communicate with the former five-star prospect to start recruiting him to Austin once again.

Bru McCoy, whose full name is Bru McCoy Jr., is an American football player who gained attention as a highly regarded recruit in high school. He was born on July 5, 2000, in Santa Ana, California. McCoy played wide receiver and linebacker at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, where he earned numerous accolades for his performance on the field.

McCoy was considered one of the top prospects in the nation for the class of 2019. He was ranked as a five-star recruit by multiple recruiting services and received offers from many top college football programs. Ultimately, McCoy committed to the University of Southern California (USC) in January 2019, choosing the Trojans over other prestigious schools such as the University of Texas.

However, his college career didn’t go as initially planned. McCoy enrolled at USC but decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal shortly after spring practice due to personal reasons. He transferred to the University of Texas in May 2019, intending to play football for the Longhorns.

McCoy’s transfer to Texas was initially smooth, but he encountered further complications. Due to an NCAA rule, McCoy had to sit out the 2019 season because of his transfer. However, he was eligible to play for Texas in the 2020 season.

In terms of his playing style, Bru McCoy is known for his versatility, athleticism, and physicality on the field. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing around 210 pounds, McCoy possesses the size and skill set to excel as both a wide receiver and a linebacker.

Off the field, not much information is widely available about McCoy’s personal life, as he tends to keep a low profile in the media. However, his talent and potential as a football player have made him a notable figure in the world of college football recruiting and beyond.
