There’s no rest awaiting DiVincenzo when he gets home, but he’s more than likely perfectly fine with that: Calantoni shared a series of photos on her Instagram page showcasing their new baby boy, rounding out the montage with an image of a hoodied DiVincenzo pushing their arrival in a stroller while she walks their dog.
“Life is so much sweeter with you in it,” Calantoni said in an accompanying caption.
DiVincenzo and Calantoni met in college, ironically on opposite sides of one of Pennsylvania’s fiercest basketball rivalries: DiVincenzo was one of the Villanova Wildcats’ backcourt stars while Calantoni was a cheerleader at Temple University.
The new dad DiVincenzo will be hard-pressed to get some rest before the Knicks’ postseason quest tips off, but there’s no doubt he’ll be relied upon moving forward. DiVincenzo was one of the most pleasant surprises of the Knicks’ season, posting a career-best campaign after he was brought in from the Golden State Warriors. The 2021 NBA champion set a new franchise record for most three-pointers in a single season with 283 and put up personal highs in scoring average (15.4) and success rate from deep (40.2) in his maiden voyage with the Knicks.
Time will tell when DiVincenzo and the Knicks will play again, but they’ll find out who their first-round opponent will be on Wednesday, when the Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat battle for the right at Wells Fargo Center (7 p.m. ET, ESPN).
The New York Knicks have established themselves as a legitimate title contender after they clinched the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference. They ended the regular season with five consecutive wins, and Donte DiVincenzo played an integral role in those run of fixtures. The first year Knick played 52 minutes in New York’s season regular ender vs the Chicago Bulls.
In those 52 minutes, Donte DiVincenzo recorded 25 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. DiVincenzo’s stellar performances suggest that things are looking up for him. Moreover, his positive developments aren’t limited to the basketball court. In a long-term relationship with Morgan Calantoni, DiVincenzo has now become a father.
The couple kept Morgan’s pregnancy under wraps until she started showing a visible baby bump. Morgan took to Instagram to announce this major development in their life. She posted photos of DiVincenzo and their newborn baby, Kai with the captions, “Life is so much sweeter with you in it.” But who is Morgan Calantoni, and how did she meet Donte DiVincenzo?
