Quarterback Gunner Stockton took center stage at the Georgia football program’s NFL pro day ahead of the upcoming NFL draft.
The annual pro day event provides draft-eligible players with a final opportunity to showcase their skills to NFL coaches and GMs.
Participants engage in combine-style activities and drills aimed at highlighting their abilities on the field.
Notably, the Bulldogs have a tradition of using this event to introduce current players to NFL scouts, particularly quarterbacks.
Instead of returning starter Carson Beck, Gunner Stockton, a recruit from the 2022 class and a former four-star quarterback from Tiger,
Georgia, took the reins as the designated quarterback at this year’s pro day.
This move mirrors Beck’s previous involvement in the pro day when he was vying for the starting position.
At the pro day, Stockton demonstrated his talent and potential for NFL scouts. Despite serving as the team’s third-string quarterback during the 2023 season, he has since moved up in the depth chart following Brock Vandagriff’s transfer to Kentucky.
While Stockton may not be in contention for the starting role during spring practice, he is positioned as a promising option for the Bulldogs
at the quarterback position once Beck decides to enter the NFL draft.
