A murder mystery, some great auction items and a catered dinner will highlight the May 3 fundraiser for Aid to Distressed Families of Appalachian Counties Inc. (ADFAC).
“Murder at the Lake” will take place 5-8 p.m. at Calhoun’s Event Center in Oak Ridge.
Auction items include a signed and framed Dalton Knecht jersey and a baseball signed by University of Tennessee head coach Tony Vitello, both courtesy of Melissa Charles. Sheila Michel is offering a traditional shrimp boil for 12, and Ron and Annie Cacheiro are providing a four-hour boat ride with water sports. Tara and Brian Kneiser are donating a three-night cabin rental in the Smokies for six people.
Tickets are $100 each and can be found at https://tinyurl.com/adfacmurder, and on ADFAC’s website and Facebook page. Ticket sales end on April 24.
The event is supported through Mighty Muskie sponsors CNS, Friends of ADFAC and Gainfully Retired LTD, and Bountiful Bluegill sponsors, Michael Bowers – Farm Bureau Insurance and Oak Ridge Utility District.
