Breaking News: New England Patriots have already reached agreement to sign Marvin Harrison Jr over Kyle McCord following……..

The New England Patriots are reportedly preparing to sign quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who backed up Tom Brady in 2016 when they won the Super Bowl, and could possibly draft wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. next month.

Brissett, 31, could also once again be the backup in New England if they instead decided to draft a rookie quarterback with the third overall selection. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN was the first to report the reunion.

After a single season with the Patriots, then-head coach Bill Belichick traded Brissett to the Indianapolis Colts, where he has spent the most time throughout his NFL career.

Brissett has played for the Miami DolphinsCleveland Browns and Washington Commanders. He only lasted a single season at each location.

Patriots making winning moves

After releasing quarterback Mac Jones, the Patriots have been focused on making winning moves, most recently acquiring running back Antonio Gibson from the Commanders.

Brissett’s deal is one year for $8 million, with incentives that could push it as high as $12 million, while Gibson receives $11.25 million over three years with $5.3 million fully guaranteed.

Kendrick Bourne is also returning to New England on a three-year deal to bolster their wide receiver core which could feature Harrison, likely the most talented skill player in the draft.
