4 NY Giants in danger of losing playing time heading into Week 7

Thus far in this early season, the NY Giants have shown to be an unexpectedly fascinating squad. Fans have witnessed the Giants competing in nearly every game this season outside of Week 1, despite the low expectations. You might even argue that the Giants could be 4-2 or 5-1 if a few plays gone well.

But after the depressing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in primetime, the unfortunate truth is that the G-Men are now 2-4 on the season. Brian Daboll will need to change things up for the Eagles game, which should result in these four players playing less.

When Devin Singletary initially arrived, a lot of fans had questions. Throughout his career, Singletary appeared to be efficient and put up strong numbers all around. However, since fumbling the ball once during his most recent season in Houston, he has coughed up the ball several times in addition to a groin issue he has been battling with. Tyrone Tracy Jr. has had an opportunity to shine because Singletary has missed the last two games.

Tracy amassed 129 yards on the ground in an incredible performance against the Seahawks. Not only did he produce impressive numbers, but he also turned in the finest running performance of the season. Tracy displayed excellent ball security, looked decisive BREAKINGwith his cuts, and was explosive out of the backfield.

This is all coming from a young person who only changed positions at Iowa last year. Why can’t Singletary demonstrate the ability to switch hands while going through the trenches and safeguarding the ball, if he can? Tracy has shown over the last two weeks that he deserves a lot more snaps, regardless of when Singletary returns. He looked explosive even though he didn’t have the same stats against Cincinnati. He needs to start for this club, with Singletary filling in at running back.
