– Has been a key player for the Aggies, starting at third base in all but one game she’s appeared in.
– Notched her second home run of the season with a two-run shot during an 8-0 run-rule victory over Texas State.
– Made the SEC All-Tournament Team with a standout performance, hitting .667 (4-for-6) with one RBI and scoring two runs, leading to a 1.334 OPS. Scored the game-winning run in the quarterfinal to propel the Aggies to the semifinal.
– Recorded a season-high three hits in the series finale at No. 9 Florida.
– Achieved her first Aggie home run with a three-run shot at No. 13 Alabama on April 14, finishing the game with a 2-for-4 line, three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
– Hit her third triple of the season at No. 7 LSU, driving in a season-best three RBI.
– Went 2-for-2 with two runs in a 14-6 run-rule series finale to sweep No. 25 Auburn.
– Registered her fifth multi-hit game of the season with a 2-for-2 performance, scoring two runs and driving in one against North Texas on March 6.
– Contributed a 2-for-2 game with a double, one RBI, two runs, and a stolen base in the win at San Diego State on February 16.
– Hit .556 (5-for-9) on opening weekend, including a triple, four RBI, five runs, five stolen bases, and two walks.
2023 (Freshman at UCLA):
– Earned Pac-12 All-Freshman honors and NFCA West All-Region First Team recognition.
– Started 45 of 59 games, batting .374, which ranked 10th in the Pac-12 and 17th nationally among freshmen.
– Logged 13 multi-hit games, including three consecutive three-hit games against Texas A&M, No. 2 Oklahoma, and UCF.
– Batted .355 with a .548 slugging percentage and a .444 on-base percentage during league play.
High School:
– Ranked as the No. 6 overall recruit in the nation by Extra Innings Softball, No. 15 by MaxPreps, and No. 24 by FloSoftball coming out of Conroe High School.
– Garnered UIL District 13-6A Offensive Player of the Year honors as both a junior and senior.
– Competed in the 2020 USA Gold Nationals, batting .429 with 15 runs and a team-high 13 stolen bases, earning MVP honors.
Personal
– Daughter of Moneshia and Eric Powell; has two sisters, Erica and Madison.
– Chose Texas A&M for its proximity to home, excellent educational opportunities, and strong softball program.
– Majoring in Leadership Studies with aspirations to become a physician’s assistant.
