On Tuesday, it was reported by Football Scoop’s John Brice that the Wisconsin Badgers are bringing on board Eric Raisbeck, one of the top
assistants in the FCS, as a special teams assistant.
Initially hired by FCS school UC Davis as their special teams coordinator, Raisbeck has decided to return to his home state of Wisconsin to
work alongside outside linebackers coach and special teams coordinator Matt Mitchell.
With experience across various levels of college football, including Division II and Division III, Raisbeck has previously served as a special
teams assistant for programs such as the Utah State Aggies and Penn State Nittany Lions.
Prior to his recent stint at UC Davis, Raisbeck spent four years with Penn State. Despite the opportunity to lead UC Davis’s special teams
unit, he has chosen to continue his career in the Big Ten conference with the Wisconsin Badgers.
He will now be part of a restructured Badgers coaching staff, which has undergone significant changes this offseason, including five different
position coaching adjustments.
Apart from their existing 10 on-field coaches, the Badgers also have a variety of assistants in roles such as analysts, quality control, and
graduate assistants. Raisbeck will join this group as the latest addition.
