Giants Daniel Jones’s Reportedly Trending On Twitter Over………….

Last offseason, the New York Giants made a significant investment in quarterback Daniel Jones after his success leading the team to the playoffs the previous season. However, the team’s offense struggled around Jones, who himself faced challenges during the first six games before suffering a season-ending ACL tear.

With concerns mounting over Jones’s durability following his ACL injury and previous neck issues, Judy Battista of the NFL Network suggests that the Giants must contemplate their long-term quarterback plans.

“This situation prompts the Giants to assess their broader quarterback strategy because not only did Daniel Jones struggle last season, but there are legitimate worries about his ability to stay healthy,” Battista commented. “Given his recent ACL injury and history of neck injuries, the Giants must prioritize Jones’s well-being.”

To bolster their quarterback depth, Giants general manager Joe Schoen signed veteran Drew Lock in free agency to replace last year’s backup, Tyrod Taylor, who joined the cross-town rival Jets.

Although Tommy DeVito remains under contract, Battista questions whether the second-year quarterback provides sufficient insurance if Jones is unavailable at the start of the season.

Looking ahead, Battista acknowledges that the Giants face a pivotal decision regarding the quarterback position.

“Will they opt to select a quarterback in the upcoming draft? It’s worth noting that Daniel Jones’s contract allows the Giants to make a decision on his future after the 2024 season,” Battista remarked. “Considering their current position at number six in the draft, the Giants have an opportunity to potentially address the quarterback position. However, the success of their choice will ultimately reveal how the front office and coaching staff envision the future of the team.”

Schoen has affirmed that Jones is expected to reclaim the starting role upon his return to full health. Additionally, the Giants have taken steps to fortify the offensive line by acquiring Jon Runyan and Jermaine Eluemunor in free agency.

While speculation suggests the Giants may target a quarterback in the upcoming draft, the timing and approach to selecting one will provide insight into the organization’s outlook on the quarterback position moving forward.

According to a report, the New York Giants harbor genuine worries regarding Daniel Jones’s durability.

The concerns stem from Jones’s recent ACL injury, which marked his second significant injury in three years. Judy Battista, an analyst for the NFL Network, highlighted these concerns, emphasizing the need for the Giants to weigh their long-term plans at the quarterback position.

“This is a pivotal moment for the Giants, considering Daniel Jones’s inconsistent performance last season and his ongoing health issues,” Battista stated. “With his recent ACL injury and prior neck injuries, there are valid concerns about Jones’s ability to stay healthy.”

In response to these concerns, Giants general manager Joe Schoen opted to sign veteran Drew Lock in free agency, aiming to bolster the team’s quarterback depth following the departure of last season’s backup, Tyrod Taylor, who joined the New York Jets.

While the Giants also have Tommy DeVito on their roster, Battista questioned whether he provides sufficient backup should Jones be unavailable at the start of the upcoming season.

Looking ahead, Battista acknowledged the Giants face a critical decision regarding their quarterback strategy.

“Will the Giants explore drafting a quarterback in the upcoming draft? Considering Daniel Jones’s contract structure allows for a potential decision after the 2024 season, the team must carefully evaluate their options,” Battista remarked.

Schoen has expressed confidence in Jones’s ability to reclaim the starting role once fully recovered. Additionally, the Giants have taken steps to strengthen their offensive line through acquisitions in free agency.

While speculation suggests the Giants may target a quarterback in the draft, the timing and approach to such a move will reveal the team’s vision for the quarterback position moving forward.
