Bulls Depth Squad Suffers Narrow Preseason Defeat to Bucks, 111-107

In order to secure a 111-107 preseason victory, the Milwaukee Bucks heavily relied on their veterans, while the Chicago Bulls showcased their youth movement.

In the Chicago Bulls’ third preseason game on Monday, the team showcased its Exhibit-10 training camp additions in large minutes for the final guaranteed-salary roster position, which is now held by Chris Duarte. Bulls Nation’s hoops fans were in for a special treat. Conversely, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Bulls 111-107 by playing their starting lineup and bench players for more than 20 minutes.

With Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, Coby White, and Patrick Williams sitting out Monday’s preseason game against the Bucks, Billy Donovan was able to go 12 deep on his bench. Consequently, faithful supporters of the Bulls and Windy City Bulls were treated to 32:49 minutes of Adama Sanogo pushing the boundaries of his offense while scoring 16 points overall and hitting 1/2 from three-point range.

Chicago native Talen Horton-Tucker added 15 points of his own, and Bulls youngster Matas Buzelis also had a strong offensive impact by scoring 15 points off the bench

Josh Giddey shot 3/4 from three-point range in Milwaukee, making his signature shot appear less effective. However, Giddey’s remaining offensive totals of 12 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds were low compared to his usual output.

Julian Phillips had a steady offensive impact up until the second quarter, when a rib contusion ended his evening. After leaving the game in the second half, Phillips finished the game with 10 points, two rebounds, and a 2/6 shooting percentage from three-point range.
