Little Rock (Ark.) Parkview athlete Quentin Murphy has committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks for the Class of 2025. Murphy, 6-1, 205, went public with his decision to call the Hogs at approximately 2 p.m. on Saturday, becoming the first domino to fall on a Parkview roster that currently features five Razorback-offered targets for 2025 and 2026 combined.
Murphy will play quarterback for Brad Bolding’s Patriots, but was recruited to Fayetteville as an athlete who could play wide receiver for the Hogs in 2025.
He chose the home state school over previously-reported offers from Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Wisconsin, and many others, though Georgia Tech and Syracuse were seen as the two other finalists per 247Sports.
Murphy’s offered teammates include 2025 safety Omarion Robinson, 2025 running backs Cameron Settles and Monterio Elston, and 2026 linebacker Jakore Smith.
“I’m here baby, go Pigs,” Murphy told HawgSports. “I chose to stay home because the love is there. I’ve been offered by them since my ninth grade year and they never fell back on me. Coach Pitt is a good guy and he’s real. I will stay on my teammates and tell them to stay home, come be a Hog with me.”
Murphy and Robinson are expected to take official visits in Fayetteville next weekend (June 7-9), while Elston and Settles are set for the weekend of June 14-16.
Arkansas entered the day with the nation’s 53th-ranked recruiting class for the 2025 cycle with six verbal commitments in Maumelle (Ark.) Central Arkansas Christian quarterback Grayson Wilson, Atlanta (Texas) running back Markeylin Batton, West Palm Beach (Fla.) Palm Beach Central wide receiver Kamare Williams, Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff linebacker Jayden Shelton, Mobile (Ala.) Williamson safety Taijh Overton, and Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus kicker Evan Noel.
